2012 has started with many important
developments of interest to Jersey trust companies. How might they
affect you and your business? And what impact will they have
on Jersey as a jurisdiction?
Tax, trust and the UK government - we
will look at the UK's increasing focus on anti-avoidance and
offshore trusts, including whether new HMRC investigation powers
can be used to get information from offshore trustees.
Jersey foundations - as well as considering the Jersey market in 2012,
this session will take a closer look at how foundations have
fared since their introduction, considering their popularity, uses
and and some of the practical issues that have
arisen.
Family governance - what are the latest trends
and how are fiduciary structures being used to
support family wealth preservation?
