The annual Jersey Ladies' Doubles Tennis Tournament and Lunch has raised more than £8,000 for Jersey Hospice Care.
Sponsored by Collas Crill, the event took place on Saturday 9 June and started with 'round robin' matches in private courts around the Island. The players and guests then moved on to lunch and shopping in the stunning grounds at Government House, where the finals were played.
A selection of local stalls were at the event, selling a range of products, with all stall holders donating a percentage of their takings to Jersey Hospice Care.
Amongst the prizes in the raffle was a framed and signed photo of Roger Federer.
'The tournament has become quite a tradition over the last three decades, said Richard Tribe, Head of Fundraising and Communications at Jersey Hospice Care.
'This year's was no exception with lots of fun and laughter and a beautiful, sunny day which set the tone for a fabulous lunch in the grounds of Government House, followed by a close-fought tennis final. It's through the generosity of the guests and support of our sponsor that we were able to raise more than £8,000 to help support the patients of Jersey Hospice Care.'
The ultimate winners of the day were Henrietta Jones and Christine Budd, who were presented with the trophy by Dionne Gilbert, Partner at Collas Crill, and Richard.
Jason Romer, Jersey-based Group Managing Partner at Collas Crill, said: 'The Tennis Tournament was a great day filled with sport, camaraderie and delicious food. But most importantly it raised a fantastic amount for a much-loved local charity that helps patients and the people close to them at what can be the toughest of times. Collas Crill was delighted to be supporting Jersey Hospice Care by sponsoring the event.'
