Collas Crill has retained its rankings in Chambers and Partners UK 2022 across all departments in Guernsey and Jersey, with a number of lawyers being ranked individually for the first time, or moving up to a higher Band.
Pamela Doherty of Jersey's property department has moved up to a Band 1 listing and is recognised as being 'very pragmatic and commercial'. She joins Guernsey Partner Jason Green in this category. The Guernsey and Jersey property teams have maintained their Band 1 and 2 listings respectively.
The firm's dispute resolution teams in both islands keep their places within Band 2 with the team in Guernsey being described as 'professional, modern, experienced, skilled and knowledgeable' and in Jersey as 'commercial, efficient and good value for money'. Guernsey Associate Emma Taylor is recognised individually for the first time in the 'Associate to Watch' category.
The international private client and trusts team is placed in Band 3 in both islands. Head of the Guernsey team Angela Calnan has moved up to Band 2. The Jersey team is described as 'excellent' and 'they think outside the box'. Head of the Jersey team Kellyann Ozouf is listed in Band 2 and is noted as 'highly technical' with an 'impressive and strategic mind'.
Guernsey's corporate, finance and funds team keep their place within Band 3 with one source commenting: 'They understand our business and we trust them as an advisor not just as a law firm'. The Jersey team features for the first time with a ranking of Band 4 and their 'hands-on and on-site knowledge and experience of Jersey and BVI law' is noted as a key strength. Head of the Jersey team Mike Williams is ranked individually for the first time in Band 3 and cited as a 'very good technical lawyer'.
