Collas Crill is one of the founding members of a new group which will promote Guernsey to high-net-worth individuals who consider moving to the island.
The Guernsey Property Forum (GPF) is a group of estate and relocation agents and law firms which represents the property sector and has been assisting Commerce and Employment with the development of the initiative, 'Locate Guernsey'.
£1.2 million pounds has been secured from the Economic Development Fund to launch the project, which is expected to pay for itself within two years as well as create new income streams for the government and many island businesses.
Locate Guernsey will launch a marketing and promotion campaign towards the second half of the year and will also focus on welcoming potential open market residents to the island by offering them support at each step of the relocation process.
Collas Crill Head of Property, Jason Green, said: "This is a positive, and long overdue, step forward for Guernsey which we are pleased to be a part of. Guernsey has long been established as a leading jurisdiction for business but it also has so much to offer as a destination for individuals who are looking to relocate. The benefit that such an offering, with a pro-active aim to encourage HNWIs to the island, has brought to Jersey is clear and we look forward to seeing similar benefits to the Island's economy and as a whole."
Collas Crill regularly acts for HNWIs in the acquisition or disposal of property in Guernsey, Jersey and England as well as supporting them with all their legal business and private needs.
