Guernsey-based consultancy Collas Crill Compliance has formalised its Channel Islands offering with the launch of a new branch in Jersey to meet growing demand for its services.
The consultancy, which specialises in governance, risk and compliance (GRC), first opened for business in late 2019, in recognition of the need for broader GRC support to complement the work of Collas Crill's market-leading risk and regulatory legal team.
Following four years of continued growth in Guernsey and Jersey, Collas Crill Compliance now offers a physical presence on both islands, not only enhancing its services to existing clients but also allowing it to provide GRC expertise to even more local businesses.
Heading up the new Jersey branch is Director Lauren Riley-Gledhill who sits on the board of Collas Crill Corporate Services (CCCS), the firm's sister company in the Cayman Islands. Lauren relocated to Jersey at the start of the year.
Lauren has a broad practice covering GRC and has multi-jurisdictional regulatory knowledge, having held Anti-Money Laundering Officer appointments in both the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands. Prior to joining CCCS, she consulted with several offshore entities, providing regulatory inspection guidance and compliance programme development. Lauren holds a number of professional qualifications including the Professional Postgraduate Diploma in GRC, the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMs) designation and the STEP certificate in International Trust Management. She is a Fellow Member of the International Compliance Association (ICA) and an Accredited Director with the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada.
Lauren's appointment follows the recent hire of Keith McAndrew as Compliance Consultant, based in Guernsey.
Lauren said: 'It's fantastic to be part of the expansion of our GRC practice into yet another jurisdiction. Given the speed of regulatory change globally, this is a very interesting and equally important time for regulated businesses. I can't wait to help more clients navigate these challenges and find compliant and commercial solutions for their businesses, both in the Channel Islands and Cayman.'
Executive Director of CC Compliance Sandra Lawrence said: 'CC Compliance has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2019 and I'm delighted to welcome Lauren at such an exciting time for the business. Lauren has significant experience and expertise across a number of jurisdictions and she will be instrumental in our expansion in Jersey.
'CC Compliance prides itself on offering a bespoke, flexible service, working very much in partnership with clients, and I'm looking forward to working with Lauren and Keith to build on this approach and our success to date.'
