One year on from the merger of Collas Crill and Farara Kerins, the firm's BVI office has formally changed its name to Collas Crill.
As part of the strategic merger plan, the firm remained as Collas Crill in Cayman, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey, Singapore and London and traded as Collas Crill-Farara Kerins in the British Virgin Islands for a transitional period of one year.
Collas Crill's Group Managing Partner Jason Romer said: "The merger was a great opportunity for us. Our BVI practice has been further bolstered by the appointments of BVI lawyers Stephen Adams, Mike Williams and Ian Montgomery to our Singapore and Jersey offices as well as the opening of our representative office in Hong Kong, providing a seamless service across all our jurisdictions."
This comes as Collas Crill's BVI office re-opens following the devastating effects of Hurricanes Irma and Maria last year.
He continued: "This name change is more than just a formality; it reinforces our integral 'one firm' ethos which allows our clients to benefit from the breadth and knowledge of people across the globe and has earned us a strong reputation for complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
"This approach has been particularly apparent following the recent devastation. I personally would like to thank all those who have helped get the office operational again as well as to those who have ensured a continued BVI client service. It has been great to work together, for each other and for the good of our clients."
Collas Crill-Farara Kerins has formally become Collas Crill from 1 January 2018.
