Following its expansion into BVI, offshore law firm Collas Crill has established a representative office in Hong Kong and appointed Simon Fraser, also based in Hong Kong, as a consultant to the firm.
The firm, that currently has offices in BVI, Cayman, Guernsey, Jersey, London and Singapore, will expand its network in Asia as it continues to grow its global offering.
Stephen Adams, Managing Partner of the Singapore office, will have responsibility for Hong Kong, working with Simon to extend the firm's reach in Asia.
Simon has more than 20 years experience as a solicitor in England and Wales and Hong Kong (currently non-practising in both jurisdictions) and more than 14 years of fiduciary experience at senior level with two offshore trust companies.
Simon's extensive knowledge and experience in the industry and in Hong Kong will be an invaluable resource to assist the firm's clients with their ongoing needs.
Stephen said: "We are seeing a huge amount of growth in our business sourced from Hong Kong and it's important that we take the opportunity to build on that success.
"This is also another chance for us to further develop the relationships that we have already established in Singapore over the last six years. A presence in Hong Kong is the next step in extending Collas Crill's international offering across Asia, the Caribbean and the Channel Islands and we are very excited to continue on this journey."
Jason Romer, Group Managing Partner of Collas Crill, said: "Hong Kong has long been a sophisticated financial jurisdiction using offshore corporate and legal services for many years. This office will help us provide a viable platform to continue developing our practice."
Earlier this year Collas Crill was listed as one of the Top 10 Global Offshore Law Firms by both The Lawyer and Legal Business magazine. The firm was also included as a 'firm to watch for 2017' by Asian Legal Business.
