The Grammar School will face the Ladies' College in the Collas Crill Guernsey Moot Final 2022.
Arwen Kernaghan and Isabelle Wood from the Grammar School, and Lauren de Jersey and Rosie de Carteret from the Ladies' College will go head to head in a fictitious negligence case involving a road traffic accident.
For the second year Madam Deputy Bailiff, Jessica Roland, will act as head judge, giving her verdict in the mock trial on 7 December, which will once again be taking place in the Royal Court.
Joining the Deputy Bailiff on the judging panel will be Collas Crill's Guernsey Managing Partner Christian Hay and Partner Wayne Atkinson.
Around 100 sixth form students from the Grammar School, Blanchelande, Elizabeth and Ladies' College took part in this year's Guernsey Moot.
The Moot involves students studying real-life legal case notes and applying them to a mock court situation. Participants are mentored and coached by Collas Crill paralegals and trainee solicitors throughout the competition and judged by some of the firm's partners during the mock trials.
The students are marked on a number of factors including their court etiquette, persuasiveness, clarity, body language and time-keeping.
Arwen, Isabelle, Lauren and Rosie have come through three rounds of the annual competition to reach the hotly contested final – which was won by Elizabeth College last year.
The last round was about testamentary capacity in the fictitious case of Dollar v Armstrong, where two children of a wealthy testator argued over whether the testator's most recent will was made with the necessary capacity.
'There were some impressively high scores after round three and all of the students involved should all be very proud of themselves for taking part,' said Collas Crill's Training Principal and Group Partner, Michael Morris.
'We are delighted that once again Madam Deputy Bailiff Jessica Roland will be presiding over the final, bringing the court room experience to life for the students.'
The Collas Crill Guernsey Moot final takes place at The Royal Court on Wednesday 7 December at 4.30pm.
The winners will be presented with the Collas Crill Moot shield to take back to their school, as well as individual trophies.
