Collas Crill has appointed James Badcock as a Consultant in its International Private Client and Trusts (IPCT) team in the Channel Islands.
James has been brought in to support Channel Islands clients on Guernsey and Jersey law matters. He has significant experience of advising high net worth individuals on cross-border estate planning and advises trustees on trust law and the administration of trusts. He designs and implements wealth-holding structures for entrepreneurs and investors with interests and assets in several jurisdictions and has particular expertise in advising trustees on managing risk and supports dispute resolution lawyers on matters involving trusts.
After starting his career at Macfarlanes in London in 2003, James' extensive experience includes several years as partner and head of private client at Collyer Bristow, a leading London private client firm, where he also headed up the Geneva office for three years. Subsequently he was a director in the Private Client legal team at PwC before taking on consultancy roles.
