A range of speakers will be sharing their expertise at the forthcoming Channel Islands NEDs Forum, including Collas Crill partner Gareth Bell.
Organised by BL Events, produced in partnership with Deloitte and sponsored by Optimus Group, the event is aimed at existing and aspiring Non-Executive Directors in the Channel Islands.
This year's forum will take place on 21 March 2018 from 9am to 1pm at the Royal Yacht in St Helier. It will bring together delegates from the Channel Islands and the UK to address some of the key issues facing NEDs now and in the near future.
The agenda and speakers currently confirmed for the day are as follows:
• Keynote As companies try to figure out the required skills for new board members against an increasingly uncertain environment of regulation and Brexit, our speaker will predict what will make an exceptional NED of the future.

• Role of the NED post-Carlyle This session will examine current legal issues, including the practical implications of the Carlyle case and other leading cases.
Speakers: Gareth Bell, Partner at Collas Crill; and Ian Swan, Partner at Babbé, who represented the NEDs and Directors in the Carlyle case
• Cyber crisis - are you prepared? This session will provide background to the cyber landscape, highlight best practice and arm you with key information to help you as a NED in the boardroom.
