Collas Crill group partner and investment funds specialist, Wayne Atkinson, will be addressing the subject of AIFMD Passporting and the Private Placement Regime at a GIFA Academy presentation on Thursday 20 October.
The event, taking place at St James Assembly Hall from 12.30pm, will see Wayne provide an overview of the current position of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive, the effects on Guernsey, any likely developments as well as key messages for investors and fund managers.
Wayne has a broad experience in a number of different areas of commercial work, in particular in the areas of investment funds and asset management..
Wayne said: "I am delighted to be speaking at GIFA academy again, Collas Crill is a huge supporter of this educational event for Guernsey industry; we were involved in the very first academy event almost four years ago.
"AIFMD had provided us with a significant opportunity to reach out to the European funds industry and Guernsey has been working hard to maximise the opportunities available. I look forward to discussing how we as a jurisdiction can continue to provide European investors with access to our world-leading service, skills and expertise as a fund domicile."
