Experts from Collas Crill and Vantage HBA will be exploring employment and discrimination tribunals at an interactive workshop.
Hana Plsek from Collas Crill and Wendy McHugh from Vantage HBA will be hosting a half-day seminar, looking at how to avoid tribunals and what to expect if you receive a claim.
Taking place on Monday 12 June, the workshop will take practitioners through the process, from the initial warning signs to the arrival of an employment tribunals claim form (ET1) and what response employers should take.
Responsible for the day-to-day running of Collas Crill's employment and housing team, Hana is a member of the UK's Employment Lawyer Association. She regularly advises on contentious and non-contentious matters ranging from confidentiality and non-solicitation agreements in connection with restructuring and mergers and acquisitions of local corporates, banks and trust companies.
A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, Wendy is also a qualified teacher and an accredited mediator and coach in the workplace. Wendy is responsible for running Vantage HBA's outsourced HR services in Guernsey.
Hana said: "The path to reviewing and responding to an ET1 form needs to be carefully navigated. Avoiding a claim in the first instance is always preferable but not always an option. We hope that our seminar will guide practitioners through the process so that no surprises should come their way."
Wendy said: "Sometimes difficult situations can be avoided by employers at an early stage. The first part of our session with guide people through those difficult conversations, from absenteeism to performance and disciplinary issues."
The workshop will cost £95 and takes place at the Harry Bound Room at Les Cotils from 8.30am-11.30am. Click here to sign-up.
