Wayne Atkinson is speaking at the first session of the GTA University Centre's Compliance CPD Series 2023.
The series offers a fresh new look at challenges that are being faced by businesses today in relation to regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering. The sessions cover a range of topics that are relevant to compliance in Guernsey today. Each 60-minute session is presented by an industry expert and there will be an opportunity to ask questions.
Wayne's session is entitled 'ESG - truth or consequences': Reporting, disclosure and board level considerations around ESG are becoming pervasive for financial services businesses for good reason. Regulators and the courts are spending increasing time considering the results of this. This session will look at the state of the position for industry and consider how recent developments may affect our thinking.
