We are hosting a free event to help people make sense of the local inheritance laws and guide them through the process of making a will.
Group partner of wills estates and private client services, Joanne Seal, who will be hosting the event in Guernsey said:
“Guernsey and Jersey's intricate inheritance laws will dictate what happens to your estate if you do not leave a valid will in place when you die. So often we see the difficulties that families experience when someone passes away and their wishes haven't been properly, and legally, recorded. It is so important to have a will in place, not only to ensure that your family has peace of mind but also to be certain that your estate will pass in the way you wish.”
This is the second event held by Collas Crill in partnership with national charity Cancer Research UK. Under the terms of the partnership, Cancer Research will cover a proportion of the costs of preparing or updating a will with Collas Crill for any individual aged 55 or over.
When: Thursday 29 September 2016
What time: 6pm – 7pm
Guernsey: Collas Crill, Glategny Court, Glategny Esplanade, St Peter Port
The events will take place in the Collas Crill offices in Guernsey and are open to anyone. Teas and coffees will be served.
