Annabel Bishop provides excellent support.
Annabel has been fantastic so I would like to thank her very much for all her efforts and assistance. We will be using Annabel on the next Guernsey related transaction.
Annabel really has gone above and beyond for us; her professionalism, co-ordination and support throughout the process has been invaluable.
Annabel is an Associate in the Financial Services and Regulatory team in the BVI office. She is admitted to practise as a solicitor in the British Virgin Islands, and England and Wales.
She advises on banking and finance transactions (including real estate finance and Islamic finance), mergers and acquisitions, funds and other general corporate and commercial matters.
Annabel relocated to BVI in September 2022 after spending four years post-qualification in the firm's Guernsey office.
During her time in Guernsey, Annabel worked on a number cross-jurisdictional and cross-departmental matters with our other offices. In particular, Annabel regularly worked with the property teams assisting property funds on the acquisition of large commercial properties both in Guernsey and Jersey and acting for the borrower in the financing for the development of Guernsey's Premier Inn.
Annabel spent three months in our Cayman Islands' office, assisting within the insolvency and corporate restructuring department.
Annabel has undertaken client secondments to leading private banks in both Channel Islands. Being able to experience transactions from a client's perspective has enabled her to fully understand and appreciate their specific needs.
Annabel initially joined Collas Crill as a paralegal before undertaking her training contract with the firm, qualifying as a Solicitor of England and Wales in September 2018.
During her training contract, Annabel undertook a four month secondment to Charles Russell Speechlys LLP in London in their private wealth disputes team.
Annabel read psychology and anthropology at Oxford Brookes University and went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law and then the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, London Moorgate.
Annabel is listed as a recommended lawyer in Legal 500 2024.
