David is a Trainee Solicitor in the Insolvency and Corporate Disputes team in Guernsey.
Experience
David has amassed a breadth of experience while working alongside both onshore and offshore solicitors and barristers, enabling him to provide holistic advice to his clients.
He has notable experience in the corporate sector. He has assisted in advising international companies on high-value mergers and acquisitions, migrations into alternate jurisdictions and on optimal corporate structures.
Recognising the unprecedented impact that it will have on the legal sector, David has untaken extensive research into the influence of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain. He has published a paper on the regulation of emerging technology which championed innovation and warned against the stifling effects of over-regulation.
Background
Prior to joining Collas Crill David studied at Newcastle University, where he graduated with both a Bachelor of Laws (Second Class First Division Honours), and a Master of Laws (Distinction).
David undertook the Legal Practice Course with the University of Law and graduated with Distinction.
Alongside his educational achievements David has also enjoyed sporting success, having captained his ice hockey team to championship victory alongside his teammates.
